Sally Lloyd-Evans
Short Biography
Sally Lloyd-Evans is a lecturer in the Department of Geography in the School of Human and Environmental Sciences at the University of Reading, Reading, UK. Her research interests are focused on gender, ethnicity, work and urban labour markets in both the global North and South, and she has published research on informal sector workers in the Caribbean, female Pakistani migrants in the UK and young people's labour market transitions. She is co-author of The City in the Developing World (1998 with Rob Potter), Resource Sustainability and Caribbean Development (1998 with Duncan McGregor and Dave Barker) and Gender, Ethnicity and the Informal Sector in Trinidad (2002 with Rob Potter). She has recently published research on Muslim workers in the UK labour market and she is currently writing up a research project on gender, ethnicity and voluntary work in Reading, UK. She holds a PhD from the University of London.
